- Refreshments: a variety of foods is available, including fresh baked goods,
at the Village snack shop. ..."The Wooden Spoon"
- Picnic areas are also available and visitors are welcome to bring along a
meal.
- Souvenirs, handmade gifts and crafts, are available in the "Village
Mercantile"
as well as a well-stocked Old Fashioned Candy Counter to satisfy your sweet
tooth.
- No pets allowed. Service animals and animals involved in events are
allowed.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the Village grounds.

SUN, MAY 30: Wool, Textiles and Scottish Heritage Day

Sheep shearing, spinning and weaving demonstrations, etc. Plus live
animals— sheep, alpacas, and more. Border collie sheepdog
demonstrations twice during the day. Included will be presentations of
the area’s Scottish heritage. Learn about the impact Scots had on our
area.

The trail to freedom for many slaves passed right through our area.
Experience a small glimpse of trails taken and hardships endured in search
of freedom and safety. Many of these and other freedman chose to
stay and settle here.

The War Between the States shaped our history and changed life for many in
our area. Be a part of the action in the "evacuation" through the woods. March in step
with soldiers, and be charmed by the elegantly dressed ladies. Battle
re-enactments each day, including "aftermath" hospital scenarios.

Take a spine-tingling nightime candlelight tour of the Village, while being
thrilled by tales of ghosts and hauntings from our area and around the state
of PA. Your shivers will not be from the chilly weather! Cider, hot
chocolate and donuts provided at the end of the tours. Tours start about
every 20 minutes throughout the night. Reservations recommended for all,
required for parties of 10 or more.
