SUN, MAY 30: Wool, Textiles and Scottish Heritage Day

Sheep shearing, spinning and weaving demonstrations, etc. Plus live animals— sheep, alpacas, and more. Border collie sheepdog demonstrations twice during the day. Included will be presentations of the area’s Scottish heritage. Learn about the impact Scots had on our area.
SAT & SUN, JUNE 5 & 6: Frontier Day: 18th Century Living History
Hours - 12 am - 5 pm

A look back in time to the pioneers that settled the frontier. Activities all day: games and contests from settlement days, log cabin construction, open hearth cooking, and craft demonstrations. Flintlock firearm shooting demonstrations.

Featuring "Shadows of the Old West" cowboy action troop, performing 3 shows each day (noon, 2 pm, 4 pm). Come see the shoot-out excitement.

Soldiers and civilians from time periods including Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Civil War, WWI and WWII. Battle and fighting demonstrations throughout the day.

Enjoy a refreshing dish or cone of ice cream, a milkshake, or maybe a root beer float! Brunch served until 1 pm, box lunches available throughout the day. No admission charge, pay only for food.
SAT, July 31: Underground Railroad and Black History

The trail to freedom for many slaves passed right through our area. Experience a small glimpse of trails taken and hardships endured in search of freedom and safety. Many of these and other freedman chose to stay and settle here.

Enjoy stories, poems, and a bit of music in the OMV Church sanctuary, followed by refreshments in the dining room. Admission: $5.00 ages 12 and up, $1.00 ages 6 - 11.

Join us to celebrate our 50th year. Contests, games and more. Fireworks at dusk on Saturday. Plus, the Village is again inhabited by our "Pumpkintown" friends, a traditional delight of the season.

The 1940's recreated. See soldiers in uniform, battle reenactments, vehicles, camps. Displays of flags, guns, medals, etc.

The War Between the States shaped our history and changed life for many in our area. Be a part of the action in the "evacuation" through the woods. March in step with soldiers, and be charmed by the elegantly dressed ladies. Battle re-enactments each day, including "aftermath" hospital scenarios.

Special admission rates: $5.00 ages 12 and up, $3 ages 6 thru 11. Under age 6 free.
Take a spine-tingling nightime candlelight tour of the Village, while being thrilled by tales of ghosts and hauntings from our area and around the state of PA. Your shivers will not be from the chilly weather! Cider, hot chocolate and donuts provided at the end of the tours. Tours start about every 20 minutes throughout the night. Reservations recommended for all, required for parties of 10 or more.

Enjoy an elegant interlude, tasting delectable treats of the 19th century. A wide variety of teas and pastries served all day. Live Christmas music and entertainment.

- Refreshments: a variety of foods is available, including fresh baked goods, at the Village snack shop. ..."The Wooden Spoon"
- Picnic areas are also available and visitors are welcome to bring along a meal.
- Souvenirs, handmade gifts and crafts, are available in the "Village Mercantile" as well as a well-stocked Old Fashioned Candy Counter to satisfy your sweet tooth.
- No pets allowed. Service animals and animals involved in events are allowed.
- No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the Village grounds.
